The 2022 Renovation
Fourteen million dollars. Seventy-eight rooms. One family signature kept intact.
In 2022, after thirteen years of continuous use, the Beaumonts made the largest single investment in the property's history — a $14 million top-to-bottom restoration of all seventy-eight rooms and suites across six floors.
Working with the same Paris-based interior architect who shaped the original 2009 design, the renovation was never about a reinvention. It was about refinement: new cashmere throws, hand-loomed linen drapery, marble baths re-cut in Carrara, the soft hum of updated climate control you only notice when it is gone. The brasserie was reorganised around an open hearth. The rooftop gained its private infinity garden. And, quietly, every back-of-house system was rebuilt so the front-of-house warmth could keep doing what it had always done.
The Beaumonts' brief to the design team, written on a single index card pinned to the lobby wall throughout construction, read simply: If a guest returns in five years, they should feel that nothing important has changed — only that everything is somehow more itself.
